Marion High School Alumni Association congratulates this year’s winners of the Marion Giants Athletic Boosters Scholarship: Kalique Malone and Adison Weaver, both members of Marion High School’s Class of 2023.

This scholarship honors Marion High School student-athletes for their accomplishments.

Malone and Weaver, both multi-sport athletes, were each awarded a $500 scholarship. 

Malone was a standout wrestler for the Giants, advancing in the post-season tournament in every year of his high school career, including a semi-state berth in the 2020-21 season. He was also a strong defensive player on the football field and was named IFCA Academic All-State in his senior year. He was also a member of the Giants track and field team, competing in discus and shotput.   

Weaver was a key player for Giants girls soccer at the position of goalie, named to the All-NCC 2nd Team her senior year. She was a consistent positive presence on the court for the Giants girls basketball team, and she was also a member of the Giants track and field team, competing in discus and shotput.
