MHS Hall of Distinction nominations due April 5

Patricia GibsonMCS News, MHSAA News

Do you know a Marion High School alumnus who deserves recognition? Nominations for the MHS Hall of Distinction 2019 inductions are being accepted through Friday, April 5.

The Hall seeks to honor men and women who have distinguished themselves through superb accomplishment on a local, state or national level in diverse fields of endeavor. It gives lasting recognition to alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the achievements and prestige of Marion Community Schools. It also serves to help inspire current students to aspire to similar success.

Any MHS alumnus who graduated at least five years ago and who has made substantial contributions to the achievements of Marion Community Schools or whose exemplary actions reflect honor on MCS is eligible for nomination. Non-MHS graduates may be afforded honorary status in the MHS Hall of Distinction.

Nominations must be made in writing and must be received by Patty Barney in the Office of the Superintendent, District Offices at Marion High School, 750 W. 26th St., Marion, or by email to pbarney@marion.k12.in.us, by April 5.

Nomination forms and more detailed information is available here.

Inductees will be honored during MHS Homecoming weekend. The formal induction dinner is set for Saturday, Sept. 14. More details will be provided as the event nears.
